Why immigration cannot reduce worldwide poverty.

Roy Beck is a former journalist and founder of NumbersUSA.

In this short demonstration illustrated with figures and "gumballs", Roy Beck explains why immigration is a solution both ineffective and useless and why it would be more efficient to help under-developed people on their own land rather than bringing a tiny minority on our soil.

Not only those we host are a drop in the ocean of global poverty, but they are among the least disadvantaged since they had physical and intellectual possibilities of moving to us.

Selective immigration that we practice is unnecessary since it doesn't solve world poverty and moreover it deprives the populations of its most energetic elements. .
